Bahraini-British chef and writer Noor Murad brought back memories of her childhood pancakes at the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair, as she prepared her signature cardamom pancake with honey lime syrup.
Blending British and Bahraini flavours, Murad whisked flour, eggs, milk, butter, and cardamom into a smooth batter, then folded golden pancakes into triangles. She topped them with a fragrant honey-lime sauce infused with butter, orange blossom water, and pistachios.
Murad, author of Lugma, said her recipes aim to share Bahraini culture with a global audience.
