Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched an awareness campaign targeting 32 recreational off-road motorcycle rental outlets in Al Awir ahead of the winter season. The initiative aims to enhance safety and ensure compliance with Executive Council Resolution No. (18) of 2017, which regulates off-road motorcycle use in Dubai.
Operators received awareness materials in Arabic and English via QR codes, covering licensing requirements, safety standards, and key violations. Saeed Al Ramsi, Director of Licensing Activities Monitoring at RTA, said the campaign promotes adherence to laws to ensure the safety and wellbeing of riders during the busy winter period.
Rental outlets must maintain renter records, provide safety guides, use licensed motorcycles, and ensure first-aid and firefighting equipment are available. The campaign also introduced an information card summarizing relevant regulations, permit procedures, and establishment obligations.
